Our People

Wild Core wouldn’t be here today if it were not for the kindness and generosity of our members and donors. We have both, and appreciate their commitment to our organization and our efforts. Our members are the individuals who pledge their monetary support to our organization annually. There pledge amounts vary from person to person, but their continued support, keeps Wild Core on its feet. Our members are also our best advertisements. These are the people who tell others about the organization and the good it does for the community. Wild Core members often take part in our programs and special events as well.

Donors are the individuals who make a donation every once in a great while. They don’t actually become a member, and do not receive the same benefits that our members receive, but do financially support the organization.

Tree Hugging Volunteers? Yah some! Wild Core has a diverse array of brilliant energies which range from tree huggers to tree cutters, from vegetarians to chowin' carnivores. We have hunters, and non-hunters. If we have one thing in common, that’s the love we all strongly share for the environment. If that still is leaving you a little confused, they are normal everyday people, just like you. They are unique individuals; everyone of them different in their on way. Whether it’s in age, sex, color or background. Our volunteers are Wild Core’s backbone to its survival, it’s how it started and it’s what will keep it going. It’s the creative, persistence of people all over Connecticut with smart minds cleaning up a world in need. They are committed, hard working and unstoppable at their goals. These are our volunteers, and we are proud to say it!

Wild Core does not have a team of employees on staff. Our Staff is fully comprised of volunteers. The organization is structured based on V-Levels. Our volunteers range from volunteers in the field, to administrative volunteers that maintain and help in the everyday operation of Wild Core. These volunteers work hard for long periods of time, and are really amazing people.

Wild Core may have started out rather small; however, we have grown in the last 4 years at an unprecedented rate, which means we must be doing something right. We can thank our wonderful Board of Directors for this. Every member or chairperson within the organization has really made an outstanding effort. Our Board comprises of:

You will often see the word TEAM on our Website, publications and everything else Wild Core. The word “team” is very important to us here at Wild Core. Federal and State Law require Wild Core to have a “Hierarchical” System as above and below. However we don’t put any individual into any class (high or low). After all it’s everyone that makes up Wild Core, we are one big…..TEAM. So what does team mean?
